Outrage Grows Over Million Muslim March

A plan by a radical Muslim political advocacy group to stage a "Million Muslim March" in Washington DC on September 11 - the 12th anniversary of the terror attacks - is being called "tasteless" and a "big mistake".

According to The Blaze, the march is being organized by the American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC),  an organization led by M.D. Rabbi Alam, a virulently anti-Semitic man who believes the Jews were behind the 9/11 terrorist attack that killed nearly 3,000 Americans.

On its website, AMPAC claims its reason for staging the march is to protect the first amendment rights of Muslims.

"We are asking President Obama to fulfill his promise from his first campaign for Presidency of a transparent government. Lastly, we are asking for the release of the 9/11 commission report to the American people.”

AMPAC’s Chief of Operations Isa Hodge, believes that  "we as Muslims continue 12 years later to be victimized by being made the villains” of the terrorist attack while the government "either sits idly by and does nothing to protect our freedoms or it exacerbates the problem with its constant war on terrorism in Islamic countries, congressional hearings on Islam in America, and its changes to the NDAA law.”

She contends that “These lies told to the American population has made it impossible for us to do true Dawa,” a term used to describe the practice of proselytizing or preaching Islam.

Newsmax talk-show host Steve Malzberg says the “Million Muslim March” is a “big mistake” that makes Muslims look bad and is "not going to win any friends."

“What it does is it alienates the Muslim community, it makes them look insensitive, it makes them look bad,” Malzberg said on his daily program The Steve Malzberg Show on Newsmax TV.

"You think Muslims are being attacked in this country? You think Muslims don't have their civil rights in this country? You think Muslims are being villainized and victimized in this country? Then hold a march,” he said.

“Hold it any of the 365 days of the year except don't hold it on 9/11. That's not an accident. This group knows exactly what it's doing by holding this march on 9/11. They know exactly what they're doing.

"Don't think they don't. It's inflammatory, it's in your face, and that's why it's being done.”

Thus far, there don't seem to be many Muslims who are willing to answer the call to protest. The Washington Times reports that as of August 15, the group's Facebook event page only had five people sign up for the march.
