Yes, this book was written by a Friend of Medjugorje, a pseudonym used by Terry Colafrancesco, the founder of the very problematic Caritas of Birmingham.
As this blog explains, Colafrancesco was a former landscape excavator who quit after visiting Medjugorje, a tiny village located in the Herzegovina section of western Bosnia where the Virgin Mary is allegedly appearing to six seers. Colafrancesco decided to start his own ministry, Caritas of Birmingham, which is dedicated to promulgating these messages.
Located on a farm in Birmingham, Alabama, many of his followers gave up all their worldly possessions to live on his farm where they work year-round selling trips to Medjugorje and running his $8 million printing press. Some of those followers did not have a very edifying experience with him, which explains why Colafrancesco has a long history of law suits by former followers who say he brainwashed and defrauded them and subjected them to intentional infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment. There is definitely something amiss at Caritas which could be why the diocese of Birmingham does not recognize it.
In addition to Look What Happened While You Were Sleeping, Colafrancesco's other books include How to Change Your Husband, I See Far, and They Fired the First Shot.
The material in these books is based on his own opinion and does not express the teachings of the Catholic Church.
My advice is to pass on all of them.
