On the occasion of the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Portugal and with a view to promoting a message of peace, the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See and the Permanent Mission of Portugal will host a commemorative side event, which will consider:
-The Fatima Message of Peace and its Enduring Relevance in Peacemaking and Peace Building
-The Importance of Religious Leaders Serving as an Example of Tolerance and Peace
-Mary, the Dignity of Woman, and Women's Role in the Promotion of a Culture of Dialogue
-The Role of Children in the Cause of Peace
Church of the Holy Family (315 East 47th Street)- 2:30pm -6:00pm
The United Nations Pilgrim Statue of the World Apostolate of Fatima and the First Class Relics of soon to be Saint Francisco and Saint Jacinta Marto will be on display from 2:30pm - 6:00pm at the Church of the Holy Family (315 East 47th Street between First and Second Avenues). All are invited to pray the Holy Rosary for world peace with the Lay Dominicans at 3:00pm in the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza adjacent to the Church. Free rosaries will be distributed as supplies last.

Join the Catholic Charities Junior Board for Eucharistic Adoration, Eucharistic Procession and Noon Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral
The United Nations Pilgrim Statue of the World Apostolate of Fatima and the First Class Relics of soon to be Saint Francisco and Saint Jacinta Marto will be present at the Cathedral for visitors and guests to view and venerate before Adoration from 10:00am - 11:00am and after Mass from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - NO RSVP NEEDED
(Visitors will have the opportunity to write their prayer intentions which will be delivered and placed in the repository of Our Lady's Apparition Chapel in Fatima, Portugal, at both Saint Patrick's Cathedral and at the Church of the Holy Family.)

Johnnette Benkovic Williams is Founder and President of Women of GraceĀ®, a Catholic apostolate for women featuring a number of outreaches including conferences, media, study groups and more.
After years of being a non-practicing Catholic, Johnnette experienced a deep conversion back to her Catholic faith in 1981. Her conversion sparked a new vocation: sharing the Gospel message through the utilization of media. She has been an inspiring and consistent presence on EWTN Catholic radio and EWTN Catholic television for over 30 years.
