The Church teaches us that there are three categories in the Communion of Saints - the Church Triumphant, the Church Suffering, and the Church Militant.
Though death severs our natural and corporeal relationships with those who have gone before us, it does not sever our spiritual relationship with them.
What does this imply regarding moral obligation and duty toward the dearly departed? Can we still be of help and assistance to them? And what are some of the ways all of this can be lived out?
