Lawmakers May Strip Abortion Funding from Health Care Bill

Poll: Majority of Voters Reject Abortion Funding in Health Care

A new poll conducted in key congressional districts across the country found that an overwhelming number of constituents oppose abortion funding in health care, which puts politicians on notice that a “yes” vote now may mean a “no” vote in November.

USCCB Rebuts Speaker Pelosi’s Claim

After House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told the press last  Friday that she had spoken to the bishops and that they know abortion funding is not in the Senate version of health care reform, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) responded by saying no such discussion took place.
