Abstinence Ed Funding to End Sept. 30

In spite of their own research showing that 70 percent of parents and 60 percent of teens believe sexual relations belong inside marriage, Congress is set to cancel funding for 176 abstinence programs effective September 30.

University Receives Record $5 Million for Home Schooled Student Scholarships

The excellent academic track record of home-schooled students has motivated an anonymous donor to give a $5 million gift to a Texas Christian university to establish what is believed to be the largest endowment for home-school student scholarships ever received.

Trouble Looms in Wake of Troop Withdrawal

In spite of the President’s triumphant speech about the formal end to U.S. combat operations in Iraq, made only days after the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported that the 2009 stimulus package cost more than the entire Iraq war, now the Iraqis are saying the pullout is poorly timed and is leaving them with no government, and no security.
