Pope Benedict XVI on the Most Holy Rosary

Speaking just days before today’s feast of the Most Holy Rosary, Pope Benedict XVI advised the faithful to pray the rosary daily and use it to meditate on the mysteries of Christ “in union with Mary, the Virgin at prayer” which “strengthens us all in faith, hope and charity.”

Archbishop Denies Communion to Homosexual Activists

During a Mass at St. John’s Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota, Minneapolis-St. Paul Archbishop John C. Nienstadt denied Communion to members of a gay and lesbian student group. However, a priest from St. John’s University said a special Mass for the students later that same evening in which all were given Communion.

Blessed Andre Bessette to be Canonized October 17

Brother André Bessette, C.S.C, a doorkeeper whose ministry to the sick led him to be called the “Miracle Man of Montreal” will become the first saint of the Congregation of Holy Cross when Pope Benedict XVI canonizes him in St. Peter’s Square on October 17, 2010.

Three States Offer Anti-ObamaCare Ballot Initiatives

Voters in the states of Arizona, Colorado and Oklahoma will be able to voice their discontent with the President’s health care reform law on November 2 with ballot initiatives that will approve proposed constitutional amendments allowing them to opt-out of key provisions of the plan.

Three Abortion Clinics Barely Reprimanded After Violating Patient Record Laws

After a two-year investigation by the Chicago Office for Civil Rights (OCR), three Michigan abortion that violated federal HIPAA laws by throwing confidential patient records into clinic dumpsters, got off with little more than a reprimand.
