Birth Dearth Reflected in Latest Social Security Numbers

As GOP presidential candidates argue about the future of Social Security, newly released data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the program is not only insolvent, but the steadily declining birthrate has left just 1.75 full time private-sector workers paying into the program for every citizen currently drawing benefits.

Vatican Accused in International Criminal Court

Even though they admit to having little hope of success, a group of victims of sexual abuse by Catholic priests have filed a complaint against the pope, the Vatican’s secretary of state and two other high-ranking Holy See officials with the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing them of committing crimes against humanity.
