Illinois Catholic Charities Stands Firm Against State-Imposed Homosexual Adoption

On June 1, a new civil unions law will go into effect in the state of Illinois, and officials at Catholic Charities have already announced that they will not go against Church teaching and offer their more than 3,000 children for adoption by homosexual couples.

All Charges Dropped Against “ND 88”

The Thomas More Society announced late yesterday afternoon that Michael Dvorak, St. Joseph County, Indiana prosecutor, dismissed the criminal trespass charges that he has pressed over the last two years against almost all of the “ND88,” the individuals arrested for peacefully protesting the University’s honoring of President Barack Obama at the 2009 Commencement. Dvorak dropped the charges as part of an agreement between the Thomas More Society and the University.

Nuns’ Votes Tossed in Contentious Wisconsin Recount

At the insistence of Democratic challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg, the votes from a monastery of 18 Cistercian nuns have been tossed out in the Wisconsin Supreme Court recount because they lacked witness signatures, even though votes are rarely if ever discounted for this reason.

Muslim Scholars: Bin Laden’s Burial Breached Sharia Law

Muslim scholars are saying that the controversial burial of Osama bin Laden at sea, which many critics say the Obama Administration ordered out of a desire to appear “politically correct”, was done incorrectly and actually breached sharia law.

MA Bishops Condemn Graphic State-Funded Teen WebSite

The Massachusetts Conference of Bishops has issued a statement demanding that the state defund a new website that promotes sex to minors, describes abortion in misleading terms and emphasizes ways for teens to get an abortion without their parent’s knowledge.
