Group Wants USCCB to Correct “Faithful Citizenship” Document Before 2012

A Catholic lay organization dedicated to encouraging faithful Catholics to participate in the political process is asking the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to correct confusing statements made in the document, “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship,” that were distorted by dissenting groups in past elections.

Vatican’s L’Osservatore Romano Praises Potter Film

Contrary to earlier reviews in which Harry Potter was called the wrong image of a hero,” a review of the latest Harry Potter film in the Vatican’s L’Osservatore Romano says that while the movie may be too scary for young viewers, the story champions the values of friendship and sacrifice.

Public Outrage Builds After Tulsa Police Captain Punished for Refusing to Participate in Islamic Event

A nationwide grassroots organization has collected tens of thousands of signatures from Americans who are outraged over the suspension of a Tulsa Police Captain who refused to order his officers to attend an Islamic event sponsored by a group associated with the radical Muslim Brotherhood.
