“When you encounter difficulties and contradictions, don’t try to break them, but bend them with gentleness and time.”
St. Francis de Sales
For Reflection:
What difficulty or contradiction do I need to “bend with gentleness and time?” Can I exercise the necessary patience to do it?
DS asks: “I was wondering if you would comment on the Unified Therapy approach to healing? As far as I can see there are no contradictions to what the Church teaches and it would be a viable mode of therapy. I had one session (won as a gift certificate) a few days ago that was pretty powerful to me. Here is the website of a Unified Therapist that I met with: http://www.jimfazioib.com/”

“When you are excited to impatience, think for a moment how much more reason God has to be angry with you, than you can have for anger against any human being; and yet how constant is His patience and forbearance.”
St. Elizabeth Anne Seton
For Reflection:
For what could God be most angry with me at this moment? Ask for forgiveness and extend His forgiveness to the one you are currently most impatient with.
(See tomorrow’s Grace Line for another saint’s suggestion to acquire patience.)
KE writes: “I know someone who is undergoing treatment from a holistic healer. During the sessions they use something called quantum therapy vials. The person holds magnetic vials in his hands and his responses to questions are monitored. There is some talk of energy and while I am not entirely certain as to what happens at the appointment it seems like it may be something to avoid. Could you tell me if quantum therapy vials are new age?”

New York Archbishop Dolan’s fears that same-sex marriage laws will lead to the acceptance of polygamy will come one step closer to reality tomorrow when lawyers representing the polygamist stars of “Sister Wives” file a lawsuit challenging Utah’s bigamy law – a case believed to be the “strongest factual and legal basis for a challenge to the criminalization of polygamy” ever filed in the federal courts.
