Lori warned Catholics not to vote for any candidate who stands for an intrinsic evil, to not allow themselves to get “distracted” by the brouhaha over President Obama speaking at a Catholic Charities fundraiser in October, and to be aware that if the culture is going to change, it will do so through the actions of the laity, not the bishops.

Missourians Pass Sweeping Amendment Protecting Religious Freedom

Missouri voters overwhelming approved an amendment to the state’s constitution that will provide sweeping protections for the faithful, giving them the right to pray in public places, to express their religious beliefs, to allow schoolchildren the “right to pray and acknowledge God voluntarily in their schools” and require all public schools to display the Bill of Rights.
