Social media is abuzz this morning over last night’s Met Gala which was themed “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” and drew stars dressed in costumes that many found to be downright offensive to Catholics.
All life should be respected from beginning to natural end, even when doctors think it’s all over for a patient, because the Author of Life can choose to intervene at any point – which is exactly what happened last week when a 13 year-old “brain dead” boy suddenly regained consciousness.
Ten employees of the Long Island-based United Health Programs of America were awarded $5.1 million in compensatory and punitive damages by a jury who ruled that the company forced employees to practice rituals associated with a cult-like organization that relies on a cartoon character known as “Onionhead” to teach “emotional awareness” to followers.
The beauty of the month of May is reflected not only in nature but also in its dedication to Our Lady and in recognition of our earthly mothers. Additionally, it is the traditional time of great rejoicing as colleges and universities across the country celebrate commencement ceremonies.

Boy Scouts of America has hammered the last nail in its coffin by officially removing the “Boy” from its name, a decision that has left at least one mother very disappointed.
Even before the ink was dry on a new Iowa abortion law that will ban all abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, the abortion industry announced plans to challenge the law – but confident supporters say “See you in court!”
