Pro-abortion legislators claimed a major victory on the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade when they passed one of the most draconian abortion laws in the U.S. which essentially permits abortion at any time until birth, claims a child isn’t human until it’s born, eliminates protection for babies born alive after abortion, and allows non-physicians to perform the procedure. Today’s Reflection:
Prayer is the answer. Prayer is what the Blessed Virgin Mary did when she faced the contradictions of her life as Mother of the Messiah. It was in her heart that Our Lady found the grace and consolation she needed. In our barren times, how do we need to pray more, not less?
Dearest Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!
In a major win for those who oppose the marketing of aborted fetal body parts, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals not only debunked claims that videos of abortion industry workers bartering over baby parts were “heavily edited,” but scolded Planned Parenthood for its rhetoric and medical practices.

Today’s Reflection:
Can we love our neighbor as we love ourselves even when he is irksome, irritable, annoying, or just plain grumpy? How do we show the true face of God’s love despite the battle raging within us.
Each year around this time, reality hits with a dull thud. Decorations have been taken down and stored away. Living rooms have that bare, denuded look that only the departure of a festive tree can create. Those much-anticipated gifts – the ones that haven’t been returned, that is – have already lost their luster.
On this 46th anniversary of the legalization of abortion in America, citizens across the country are remembering the more than 60 million innocent Americans – and one billion souls worldwide – who have lost their lives in this tragic holocaust.
