To all Women of Grace Facilitators, Members, and those thinking about becoming Facilitators:
I had an experience one recent morning that I knew was meant not for me alone, but for all Women of Grace . . .
It happened on the morning of Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Upon awakening, I heard Our Lord speak, internally, to me very clearly. He said, “I am sending you out two by two.”
I knew immediately it was Him and I quickly opened my eyes, fully cognizant of what had just happened. I knew the “you” of whom He spoke was not meant for me alone. I instinctively knew with certainty that the “you” He spoke of in His message referred to all those He was sending to do His work in this present day and age. I also knew that He had spoken these same words before to the apostles, but believe me this was not something I had ever even thought about. Nor, in that moment of awakening, had I been thinking about anything.
Prior to this, I had made the decision to become a facilitator for Women of Grace. My mom wanted to help, as a co-facilitator. Notices had already been posted in our church bulletin. I had also just finished authoring a book that will be published this fall. So I began asking the Lord throughout the day, “Who are you going to put me with, Lord?”
I had it confirmed to me that evening, which happened to be the first monthly Women of Grace Conference Call with Johnnette for Facilitators. As it was my first Conference Call I listened in silence, taking it all in. During the call, which began to focus on the benefits of Co-Facilitators, one woman on the call spoke up and said, “He is sending us two by two.” I wanted to jump through the phone and say, “He is! He just told me that this morning!!!!”, but I didn’t want to sound nutty chiming in like that. I already knew that it was Him who spoke that to me that morning, but He, nonetheless, wished to confirm it to me. And He was, most specifically but not exclusively, referring to those of us in Women of Grace. Through this experience Our Lord has also begun directing me towards a ministry I never anticipated nor really desired. He always has a sense of humor, doesn’t He??!! But, His plan, when we follow it, is always SO MUCH better than the one we could devise for ourselves.
If you are considering being a Facilitator, but don’t feel you have what it takes or are afraid of the responsibility, do not fear. Pray to Our Lord to provide a Co-Facilitator for you. You may even know who you should tap to do this. Pray about it. Then, go ahead. He is sending us “two by two” to support one another, to take the pressure off one of us having to go it alone. Two heads are better than one. Two people bring different gifts to the table. You compliment one another. He gives you someone to shoulder the burden. He gives you a friend. He gives you a comrade in arms. Of course, the two of you are never even alone, at that. You have He and His Mother. And the saints – particularly St. Padre Pio – have your back.
Peace, Blessings and Go Forth – Two by two . . .
