The Presence of God

“The practice of the presence of God is an application of our mind to God,or a remembrance of God present, that can be brought about either by the imagination or the understanding.”

                                                 Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection

For Reflection:

The Catechism teaches that four faculties of the human person are involved in prayer: the imagination, the emotion, the intellect and the will. How do I see these four faculties present in the quotation of Brother Lawrence? Which faculty do I most need to engage? (To see how Brother Lawrence followed his own advice, see tomorrow’s Grace Line.)
