“Christ does not force our will. He only takes what we give Him. But He does not give Himself entirely until He sees that we yield ourselves entirely to Him.”
-St. Teresa of Avila
For Reflection:
Today I resolve to spend at least fifteen minutes in quiet meditation asking Jesus to reveal to me what most prevents me from receiving more of Him. And I further resolve, upon this discovery, to surrender this obstacle to Him.
“O Holy Spirit of love, You are the most sweet kiss of the Blessed Trinity, uniting the Father and the Son. You are that blessed kiss which royal divinity gave to humanity by means of the Son of God. O sweet embrace, clasp me, a poor little speck of dust; hold me tight in Your embrace, that I may become completely united with God…” (St. Gertrude)
