The nation’s largest pro-family group has just released its 2009 “Naughty or Nice” list to help Christians find and support retailers who are “Christmas-friendly.”
The American Family Association (AFA) compiled the list after reviewing several areas to determine if a company is “Christmas-friendly” in their advertising: print media, broadcast media, website and/or personal visits to the store.
Some of the stores that recognize Christmas are Bed Bath & Beyond, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Dollar Tree, Toys R Us, Target and K-Mart.
Stores that refuse to recognize Christmas are CVS, Barnes and Noble, Radio Shack, Staples, and Gap stores which include The Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy.
“You can stand with us and proclaim in your community that Christmas is not just a ‘holiday’ focused on materialism, but a ‘holy day’ when we celebrate the birth of our Savior,” says AFA president Donald E. Wildmon.
