Quiet & Patient Suffering

“Suffering borne in the will quietly and patientlysufferingwillingly is a continual, very powerful prayer before God.”

                             -St. Jane Frances de Chantal

For Reflection:

The question should not be, “Will I suffer?” I am assured of that by living in a fallen world. Rather, the question should be, “What will I do when I suffer?” What does St. Jane Frances de Chantal recommend I do? What do I think it means to bear suffering “in the will?”
