With the president’s approval rating at an all time low – 44 percent – a new poll has found that a majority of Americans believe the federal government poses a threat to their freedom.
In a new poll by CNN/Opinion Research Corporation, 56 percent of Americans said they think the federal government has become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to their rights and freedoms as ordinary citizens.
Poll results were very partisan, with only 37 percent of Democrats saying the government is a threat, while 63 percent of Independents and a whopping seven out of 10 Republicans saying they feel threatened by the government.
This latest poll follows one released on Sunday that found an overwhelming majority of Americans believing the U.S government is broken.
On the bright sight, the same overwhelming numbers believe that it can be fixed.
