ProLife Kid On a Mission!

max volanskiJust because “boys will be boys” doesn’t mean they can’t do anything more than ride bikes or play softball. In the case of nine year-old, Max Volanski, this is a boy on a mission to not only defend the unborn, but to do so in the shadow of the nation’s largest abortuary.

This young pro-life warrior has been working for two years to support Houston Coalition for Life, a group that runs mobile crisis pregnancy centers that sit outside Planned Parenthood’s massive Gulf Coast facility – the largest in the Western Hemisphere. The mobile centers, known as “Big Blue” and “Baby Blue” provide free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, support and counseling for women.

According to Houston Coalition for Life, with the help of Imagi-Motive and thousands of private donations, they were able to renovate a charter bus into what has become Houston’s first Mobile Crisis Pregnancy center, aka “Big Blue”.

“Within the first year of operation beginning January 2011, the Big Blue Bus had seen over 600 visits; 90% of the girls choosing life for their pre born child!” the site reports.

As of 2014, an average of eight girls a day are being served in the center.

“Seeing the impact one Mobile CPC made in the community, the Houston Coalition for Lifeand private donors began raising funds for a second Mobile CPC which could travel between the other six abortion facilities in the Houston Area. Thanks to a generous donors, a gifted RV, several private grants, and talented visionaries, Baby Blue rolled into service!”

But these centers come with a price. It costs $250 a day to keep them running, which is a small price to pay for a facility that is saving lives every day.

It was this noble cause that inspired Max to do more for the pro-life cause.

In his fundraising video, he describes himself as a “pro-life kid from Texas” who has been defending the unborn since he was five years-old.

Two Blue Cruzers“I started praying on the sidewalks of Planned Parenthood and later realized I could do more so I started to look for the best church fundraisers ideas for the pro-life cause,” he says.

Raised in a devout Catholic family, he explained that he stands for life because abortion kills one or more people in the process. “And the Church teaches us to stand for life.”

Specifically, he wants to help the mobile centers stay in business because they can reach women who would otherwise be left without any “choice” except abortion for their unplanned pregnancy.

Max has set an ambitious goal for his next fundraising project. He wants to raise $10,000 for the Houston Coalition’s 2015 Walk for Life to keep Big Blue and Baby Blue on the streets.

No gift is too small – or too big!

And don’t forget to pray, Max says.

“In addition to donating, I would ask people to pray for the success of Houston Coalition for Life and for an end to abortion throughout the whole world.”
