Million Moms Vilified for Opposing Gay Ad

“Progressive” Americans are once again proving their inability for civil discourse as they embark on a campaign to vilify and demonize the One Million Moms organization who are protesting a misleading ad by Campbell Soup which features a “heartwarming” look at two gay men and their child.

The dustup began about a week ago when One Million Moms launched a protest of a Campbell’s Soup commercial featuring a homosexual “married” couple in their #RealRealLife advertising campaign.

It starts off with the first man feeding soup to the little boy and in a “Star Wars”-like Darth Vader voice says, “Luke, I am your father.” Then the other man enters the scene and says, “No, Luke, I am your father.”

“How confusing for this little boy and for all children viewing this commercial,” the Moms say on their website. “Obviously, Campbell’s is sending the message that homosexual men are raising children, whom they wouldn’t have if a woman wasn’t involved, and they are ok with it. Campbell’s Soup is glorifying this unnatural marriage.”

As a result, they are encouraging the public to contact Campbell’s Soup through their website to pull this inappropriate ad immediately and remain neutral in the culture war.

They’re also asking people to let the company known that if they continue airing this and any other offensive advertisements in the future, that they will no longer buy Campbell’s Soup brands such as Pepperidge Farm, Pace, Spaghetti O’s, V8, Swanson, and Prego.

campbell soupAs expected, the pro-gay media immediately pounced on the campaign, ridiculing One Million Moms as a “right-wing group notorious for getting worked up over everything from Toys ‘R’ Us to Chobani yogurt” – both of which featured homosexual-themed ads with the latter showing two women in bed together.

Stephen Colbert, who is supposed to be a Catholic, featured an episode where he mocked the group’s “fundamentalist Christian values” by doing things like “getting mad at TV commercials.”

Apparently, there seems to be an education dearth in the American progressive community these days because there happens to be mountains of scientific evidence to support the “fundamentalist Christian” position of One Million Moms.

This is why some of the world’s most renowned psychiatrists, such as Yale’s Dr. Jeffrey Satinover, have spoken out about how children fare best when raised by their biological parents and how much evidence there is to support this position.

In addition, these studies are backed up by the adult children of same-sex parents are also speaking out on this issue, saying gay families are not like other families and admitting that gay activists are trying to silence them the way they try to silence anyone else who disagrees with them. 

In fact, legal scholars themselves are so convinced of this that some of the most brilliant legal minds in the country recently issued a joint statement condemning the U.S. Supreme Court’s opinion in Obergefell v. Hodges that legalized gay marriage, calling it unconstitutional and urging Americans to openly oppose it.

So let’s stop acting as if positions such as One Million Moms’ is somehow outlandish or affilitated with the “fundamentalist Chriistian right”.

Just because it’s not politically correct doesn’t mean it’s wrong. The opposing view of homosexuality and same-sex marriage/parenting is a well-substantiated position both academically and scientifically. 

Those who believe the Campbell’s Soup commercials, and others like it, introduce confusion into the minds of our children, have every right to speak out. They should do so by voicing their concerns to Campbell Soup and/or opting for store-brand stuffing, soup and tomato sauce for a while. What a small price to pay for the moral health of this nation!
