Thistles And Thorns

“Untilled ground, however rich, will bring forthfarmer5 thistles and thorns; so also the mind of man.”

                                        ~St. Teresa of Avila

For Reflection:

Make a list of the various ways we can “till” the ground of our mind so that it will bring forth abundant fruit for the Kingdom of God. What resolution am I willing to make in this regard?

 ORDINARY TIME-31ST WEEK:
SATURDAY
72. SERVING ONE MASTER
72.1 BEING WHOLLY COMMITTED TO GOD
It was the custom in ancient times that the servant belonged entirely to his master….Our commitment to follow Christ ought to encompass all our actions.  We should not live a double life with one part of it allocated to God and another part to our own separate concerns.  Everything in our life should be oriented to God – our studies, our professional work, our ordinary affairs…This is because we belong wholly to God.  it follows that we should direct all our activity and love to our heavenly Father.
