Thus, God created man in love that man might know love; that man might give love; and that man, like God, might be love. The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is therefore the “central mystery of Christian faith and life” (CCC 234) and the animating principle of every human person. Only through loving union with the Triune God does man find his ultimate purpose, achieve true fulfillment, and experience the abundant life.  And only through this loving union can man love others as God loves.
