“O tender Father, You gave me more, much more, than I ever thought to ask for. Thank you, and again thank you, O Father, for having granted my requests, and for having granted those things that I never realized I needed or sought.”
~St. Catherine of Sienna

Make Use Of The Sacraments
THE SACRAMENTS OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION: BAPTISM, CONFIRMATION, AND THE EUCHARIST.
The importance of these three sacraments cannot be overestimated. They form the essential means by which the faithful are initiated into the divine life. Quoting Blessed Paul VI in Divinae Consortium Naturae, the Catechism reminds us that the supernatural life bears some similarity to the natural life: It has an origin; it must strengthen and develop; and it requires nourishment to survive….”The faithful are born anew by Baptism, strengthened by the sacrament of Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life” (CCC1212). Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist bring us spiritual life and are therefore the initial portals of divine union.
