This book is a theology of ecclesial authority. We begin with a full discussion of feminist theology as it is articulated by its major advocates, notably Rosemary Radford Ruether, Elizabeth Schussler Fiorenza, and Mary Daly. Attention is also paid to lessor know authors whose contributions to feminist theology are nonetheless significant, i.e., Ida Raming and Naomi Goldenberg. Feminist theology is based in a egalitarian philosophy regarding the dignity of the person that considers sexual differentiation as purely functional with sacramental or liturgical significance.
