The latest stunt by an attention-grabbing satanist in Oklahoma City – to desecrate a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary on today’s Feast of the Assumption – is not getting nearly the attention that past outrages have received and Archbishop Paul S. Coakley is perfectly okay with that!
According to a blog appearing on the Archdiocesan website, Archbishop Coakley recounted past episodes of anti-Christian behavior by Adman Daniels, the leader of the Church Ahriman which involved conducting a Black Mass at the Oklahoman City Civic Center in September of 2014.
“The same individual has developed a pattern of provocative acts of blasphemy offensive to Catholics and other people of faith,” Coakley writes. “This past Christmas Eve he conducted a ritual in front of Saint Joseph’s Old Cathedral, mocking an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary while Mass was being celebrated inside.”
On Divine Mercy Sunday the same satanist announced from the steps of the capitol that he intends to conduct still another anti-Catholic ritual on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Aug. 15.
The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. today and involve the attempted corruption of a plaster statue of the Virgin Mary using sulfur, menstrual blood, and the ashes of desecrated and burned pages of the Koran. It will also include the consumption of a pig’s heart and the “entrapment” of the Virgin Mary in a ritual triangle, in an attempted parody of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Other blasphemous rituals will be performed, such as a “reverse baptism” in which the Holy Spirit will supposedly be cast out of Our Lady. Afterward, the statue will be smashed.
Even though this event will also include a descration of the Koran, Daniels has been unable to generate the kind of media attention he received two years ago – which has made him very unhappy.
“This time, his efforts have generated far less media attention, and this has frustrated him,” Coakley writes. “In a recent statement he accused me of coordinating a media blackout. He obviously credits me with far more influence than I actually wield!”
This is why, after reflecting on what has become a predictable pattern of behavior from Daniels, the Archbishop has chosen to ignore as far as possible this attention-grabbing activity.
“If we overreact to his every pronouncement, we make him the puppet master by allowing him to anticipate and thereby dictate our responses. As we did during the black mass in 2014 and on Christmas Eve 2015, I am encouraging the Catholic faithful and other Christian people to pray for the conversion of this man and for all who have not yet come to know the Lord of Life.
“I ask that we pray through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel, the Blessed Virgin Mary and all of the angels and saints that the Lord will watch over our community and protect us from evil and its many destructive and violent manifestations. I ask that prayer be offered in our churches and homes and during an ecumenical prayer service and walk. I am not encouraging demonstrations at the Civic Center, which seem only to feed his hunger for attention and encourage repeat performances of obscenity and outrage.”
Let us all join the faithful of Oklahoma City in prayers of reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the blasphemies to be committed today, and for the conversion of the souls of all those involved in these actions.
