For Reflection:

Contemplating the scene of the crucifixion, what three persons do I see enrolled in this “academy of love” besides Jesus and how is their love expressed? Today, in what ways can I follow their example and in what way(s) am I willing to enroll in the “academy?”

                FOREWORD

This book is a beautiful beginning to a true conversation. Monica Miller is a voice of reason, charity, and wisdom. She is a scholar who has proven her bona fides in an activist life. She has never shied away from commitment. Yet she has never closed herself off from wide-ranging friendship. She genuinely listens to those who oppose her and those who disagree with her positions and she engages their objections. She comes forward with bold proposals, but she knows their boldness, and she is honestly testing them in the public forum.
