“Do not accept anything as the truth if it lacks love. And do not accept anything as love which lacks truth! One without the other
becomes a destructive lie.”
–St. John Paul II at the canonization of
St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein)
For Reflection:
Have I seen in the lives of others the reality of this quote? To what extent do my own understandings of love and truth need to be redefined? Have I fallen victim to a destructive lie due to my false definitions? I ask the Holy Spirit to guide me to all that is true, all that is lovely and all that is pure.
