Today was “test day” for the Young Women of Grace at Regina Academy in Ottsville, Pennsylvania where the course is part of the curriculum for eighth-grade girls. What was the test about?
Love.
Each girl had to grade herself on how well she passes the “Love Test” which is based on the famous text from 1 Corinthians 13: “Love is patient, love is kind. . .”
The girls had to grade themselves on how unselfishly they love those closest to them – including their annoying siblings! After praying to the Holy Spirit for the courage to be honest, the girls gave themselves a grade from A to F in response to the following statements. Try it and see how well you do!
Love is patient ________
Love is kind ________
Love is not jealous ________
Love is not pompous (snobby) ________
Love is not inflated (conceited)________
Love is not rude ________
Love does not seek it’s own
Interests ________
Love is not quick-tempered ________
Love does not brood over
Injury ________
Love does not rejoice over
wrongdoing , but rejoices
with the truth ________
The girls scored themselves with mostly B’s, a few A’s and a couple C’s – but everyone left class a little more aware of what it means to love like Jesus.
So how did you score?
