August 24
Feast of St. Bartholomew, Apostle
“It was clear through unlearned men that the cross was persuasive, in fact, it persuaded the whole world.”
-St. John Chrysostom
Today’s Reflection:
Dear St. Bartholomew, After the ascension of Our Lord, you went to India to preach the good news where you attained the crown of martyrdom. Pray for me that I might have the courage and holy zeal to preach the Gospel when it is convenient and when it is not. May I be inspired by your example today and always. Amen
