Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards was so anxious to raise money off of President Trump’s decision to discontinue the DACA program that she accidentally told supporters “every person has the right to live.”
LifeNews is reporting on the incredible irony in the statement which was made in an email sent to supporters in which she expressed how “heartbroken” she was by the president’s decision to discontinue the program.
“The Trump administration just announced a plan to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) — an attack that will leave 800,000 young people who have grown up in this country at risk of deportation, including members of the Planned Parenthood community,” Richards complained. “I’m infuriated. I’m heartbroken.”
She claims “DACA has helped so many young DREAMers” to go to Planned Parenthood abortion centers.
“We are resolved to fight back against this cruel and heartless decision — and I hope you are, too,” Richards wrote.
“Here at Planned Parenthood, we firmly believe that every person has the right to live, work, and raise a family freely and without the threat of deportation or separation,” she says.
The irony was not lost on Steve Ertelt of Life News.
“Right to live? Tell that to the 300,000 unborn babies whose lives Planned Parenthood snuffs out every year. Fear of deportation or separation? From the womb perhaps,” Ertelt writes.
Richards goes on to feed her supporters the usual empty platitudes, such as how she believes in “every person’s right to control their own destiny and their own body” (except for the unborn, of course.)
“We stand with our allies who are leading this fight and will never stop fighting for this vision,” she continues. “Protecting immigrant families from inhumane attacks, assault, and deportations is critical to making that vision a reality.”
How about the inhumane attacks on the unborn who are killed by dismemberment abortions in their own clinics – which are so often placed in the heart of Hispanic and other immigrant communities across the U.S.
As Ertelt rightly concludes, “In other words, we [Planned Parenthood] love immigrants because they form the basis of our customer base and we can kill more of their babies in abortions.”
The more immigrants, the better their business.
Having once been a supporter of a woman’s right to choose, it was not until the Lord opened my eyes to the rhetorical deceit routinely used by the abortion industry that I came to my senses. As I describe in my book, We Need to Talk: God Speaks to a Modern Girl, once I realized how I was being played by the “Cecile Richards” of my day, I was transformed from a pro-choice zealot to a woman on fire to spread the truth – not only about evils of abortion – but about the dishonest women in the abortion business who are manipulating us for their own profit with their sweet-talking duplicity.
But on the bright side, my own experience serves as a constant reminder that no matter how many “pink hats” go marching down Pennsylvania avenue, the Lord is at quietly and powerful at work changing hearts and minds, just as He did with me.
Let us soldier on and never stop praying for that happy day when the Lord will make the scales fall off the eyes of Cecile Richards and her ilk so that when she says, “every person has a right to live,” she’ll really mean it.
