After actress Mila Kunis announced that she is making monthly donations to Planned Parenthood in the name of Vice President Mike Pence, pro-lifers responded with a brilliant display of the determination that has kept them in this fight for forty years by pouring donations into pro-life organizations in the name of the Vice President.
Breitbart is reporting on news that donations are pouring into the pro-life organization, Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) in the Vice President’s name after Kunis, who is also global spokesperson for Jim Beam, announced on the Conan O’Brien show last week that she was donating to Planned Parenthood in Pence’s name.
“I apologize if I’m offending anybody,” Kunis told O’Brien. “It’s not so much a prank as much as I disagreed with some of the stuff that Pence was doing and was trying to do. And so as a reminder that there are women out there in the world that may or may not agree with his platform, I put him on a list of recurring donations that are made in his name to Planned Parenthood.”
As a result of the donation, every month a letter is sent to Pence’s office informing him that, “An anonymous donation has been made in your name.”
Kunis says she doesn’t look at this prank as a prank. “ . . . [T]his is like, I strongly disagree, and this is my little way of doing it. It’s a peaceful protest.”
Obviously, Kunis and her pals in the pro-abortion industry were trying to spite pro-lifers like Mike Pence but in her haste to make a hero out of herself, Kunis grossly underestimated the grit of the pro-life movement in the United States.
As a result, her little prank backfired badly.
No sooner did SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser announce that they were accepting monthly donations in the Vice President’s name when money started flowing in.
Of course, the Vice President couldn’t have been more pleased and tweeted to his 4.7 million followers: “I’m honored. Thanks for all SBA List does for life. I’m in.”
This resulted in even more cash pouring into pro-life coffers.
Mallory Quigley, communications director for SBA List, told Breitbart Pence’s response “shows how far the pro-life movement has come.”
“He did not allow himself to be passively defined by his opponent,” she said. “Instead, Vice President Pence was pro-active. He was not defensive, but actually advanced the pro-life position by elevating a pro-life organization. And he did so in an area that, compared to the other side, has always been wanting: resources.
“As a result of the Vice President’s tweet, donations and messages of support have been pouring in from across the country. Pence set a great example that is being echoed by other pro-life leaders – that this movement’s allies don’t just sit back and take it as some politicians have done in the past. They go on offense.”
Donate to SBA List or your favorite pro-life organization today in the name of our Vice President and don’t forget to thank @MilaKunis for all that she’s done to help raise cash for the pro-life cause!
