Anyone still wondering if Planned Parenthood and its radical abortion agenda are out-of-touch with mainstream America need only view the backlash the organization received this week after sending out a glowing tweet about Martin Luther King, Jr. in spite of the fact that their founder strove to eliminate the Black population!
“Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dedicated his life to the idea that racial and economic justice are foundational to our democracy,” Planned Parenthood tweeted. “Today, we honor his courageous vision and radical action — and commit to furthering his dream by continuing the fight for justice. #MLKday
“The tweet could not be more hypocritical,” wrote LifeSiteNews. “Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger who promoted black eugenics. Sanger regarded blacks as feeble-minded and spoke at rallies of Ku Klux Klan women.”
They quickly found out that the public is not as uninformed as they hoped and found themselves in the middle of Twitter firestorm.
“How can you further his dream when you have aborted millions of African American babies since 1973?” demanded prolife advocate Obianuju Edeocha.
@JSkeleton92 was even more harsh: “You’re twisted to the core. Your founder was a racist that wanted to exterminate blacks. MLK was strongly against the murder of children in the womb, yet you try to use a deceased man’s words out of context to push your corrupt agenda. How evil you people are. Absolutely vile.”
“Then stop working so hard to kill black babies before they’re even born PP!” tweeted @DanielRoddick.
“You are aligned with the lynchers, not the victims,” tweeted @DaveBunnell. “You are with the purveyors of hatred and violence against the innocent, not those who courageously stand against your genocide.”
@SarahWS11790 tweeted: “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population” -PP Founder, Margaret Sanger. Please tell us more about how you’re honoring his courageous vision. Are you going to plant yet another abortion clinic in a black neighborhood or something?”
Arguments broke out about whether or not Dr. King was in favor of abortion. Many people point to the fact that he received an award from Planned Parenthood in 1966, but that was before Planned Parenthood’s investment in abortion was public knowledge. As this extensive research by LifeNews reveals, Dr. King was a supporter of family planning, not abortion.
Dr. Alveda C. King, the niece of Dr. King, wrote this about her uncle’s past association with Planned Parenthood. “King was among a select group of Negro leaders, hand picked to promote a seemingly beneficial plan to promote healthy family planning. It was a plan of wolf in sheep’s clothing, and Trojan Horse proportions. Dr. King, a man of love, peace, non-violence and strong Christian faith would be assassinated before the truth of the Planned Parenthood map for genocide would be made public after the passage of Roe VS Wade. The abortion agenda is in direct conflict with the teachings of Dr. King.”
Regardless of how Planned Parenthood spins the facts, this latest dust-up on Twitter proves that its opponents are many and there’s not a Kool-Aid drinker among them.
