“I want to know [Christ] and the power of his resurrection…if somehow I may attain the resurrection from the dead.”
-Philippians 3:10-11
The Risen Jesus wants to meet us in the tomblike places within our hearts:
Those places that have been made cold and barren by the sins committed against us.
Those places shrouded in darkness and fear.
Those places where sin has carved wounds and injury into the delicate fiber of our being.
Those places where unforgiveness chains us to stony hostility.
Jesus comes with resurrection power to release us and set us free–to restore us, to renew us, to revitalize us, and to raise us from the dead. Sometimes our inner healing happens in the twinkling of an eye. Frequently, it takes days, months, or years. Occasionally, it takes a lifetime. But, in all cases, when we surrender to the action of God within us, healing comes. Freedom comes. Resurrection comes.
How is God calling me to submit to His healing love so that I might be a source of strength and healing for others?
How is He calling me to submit to His healing love so I will be ready to fulfill my holy mission to aid humanity in not falling and to be a healer of the world?
