As the nation remains in the grips of protests surrounding the death of George Floyd and other black Americans at the hands of police, witches are now aiding the cause by placing hexes on police and offering “prayers” of protection for protestors.
Mashable is reporting on a new movement among social media’s so-called “hipster witches” to get involved in the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. Comprised mostly of teens and young women who look to the dark arts for “empowerment,” these witches are following the lead of a TikTok user named venxm.exe who filmed herself casting a protection spell for protestors. Within five days, the tag #witchesforblm had 10 million views, and now serves as a meeting place for practicing witches who want to get involved in the politics of the day.
“The postings often include videos of witches casting spells or even acting out what they believe will happen to the police they target,” reports John Horvat II of The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP).
“The hexing can get very personal as the witches teach others to write down the names of individual police officers on papers, which are then burned with black candles. The hexes aim to bring misfortune to the officers already at risk while defending the city from disorder.”
This latest foray into American politics is just another example of how the nation’s young witches are involving themselves in politics. They have been regularly hexing President Donald J. Trump and used the same dark arts to launch an unsuccessful attempt to derail the nomination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Now they’re turning their sites on the BLM movement which they’re supporting with spell-casting, meditation, burning candles and making “moon water” which is allegedly charged with the energy of the moon.
As nonsensical as some of their antics may sound, demonic entities are only too happy to oblige the requests of young people who think they’ve found a hip new form of spirituality to replace old fashioned religion.
“A generation that has grown up without organized religions which it deemed ‘outdated’ is now filling the void with hopelessly ancient pagan deities,” Horvat writes. “Those who will not call upon a personal and loving God to do good sense their powerlessness and now conjure up dark spirits to do evil to their opponents.”
They do so at their own peril.
“This is why the involvement of witches in the protests is so troubling to those Christians who understand the full implications of dark magic. Their action involves real forces that are dangerous and sinister,” Horvat warns. “When taken seriously, its practitioners expect and obtain the interference of demons or lost souls for evil ends. The Church admits that spirits other than God can interfere in events, although never without God’s permission.”
Christians can and must counter this dangerous movement by offering prayer and sacrifice to limit the devil’s actions in the BLM, which has already become infested with deadly violence. In addition, we need to ask God to protect the innocent who are being unjustly targeted for the misdeeds of the few.
Lastly, we must pray for these confused young people who are dabbling around in powers which are beyond their control and are intent on destroying both their targets – and themselves.
