“I suffered many years from this trial – and it is a very great one – of not being able to quiet the mind in anything.”
-St. Teresa of Avila
Today’s Reflection
So how do we deal with distractions? Fr Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen suggests in Divine Intimacy that we “make a firm decision of the will to put aside everything when you come to prayer – all cares and preoccupations with human things, and concentrate all the powers of the soul on God alone.” During your time of prayer today, put this into practice.
