Why You Should Ignore Psychic Predictions for 2025

Psychics from around the world are making headlines with dramatic predictions for 2025 ranging from the end of Harry and Meghan’s marriage to mankind making the first official contact with extraterrestrials. Are these people really able to see into the future?

One of the most popular psychics to weigh in on the fate of 2025 is Mae the Irish Psychic. Also known as Mary Ann Jordan, 77, she does readings from a stack of Aer Lingus (Ireland’s official airline) playing cards. Jordan claims to have inherited her powers from her psychic grandmother, Mame Mulhern, a woman who allegedly booked passage on the Titanic then decided against the trip. From that time on, she began to share her psychic abilities with others.

According to the Daily Mail, Jordan worked as a hairdresser and realtor before being able to turn her psychic abilities into a full-time career. She now lives in Long Island with her husband and Siamese cat, Muldoon.

Jordan gave the Daily Mail an interesting list of predictions about the coming year.

For example, in the case of Luigi Mangione who killed United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan last month, his case may appear to be a slam-dunk, but she predicts the case will turn around.

“He will go to prison – but for as little as 10 years, maximum 27, and won’t be sentenced to death,” she predicts.

As for Donald Trump, Jordan pulled two nine cards from her deck which she claims predicts success for his presidency. She also doesn’t believe there will be other attacks on his life; however, there will be an incident in 2025.

“I think that in either eight or nine months down the road, or in around 20 months down the road, I do think that something will happen. But I don’t think he’ll be assassinated now.”

She also sees him having health issues, especially problems with his weight and suggested he use Ozempic.

As for President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, she predicts that he will have some “very significant health issues” this year, and Kamala Harris will not run again.

She pulled a five card from her deck during her reading about Harris which suggested that the former Vice President was being pushed by her controversial husband, Doug Emhoff.

The Royal Family may see a reunion between Prince William and Prince Harry anywhere from two to 22 years from now, with Meghan Markle playing a role in the reunion.

However, she sees Harry returning to live in the UK but wouldn’t confirm that Meghan will move with him. Jordan claimed she didn’t want to say anything negative, “But I do think that there are a lot of issues in that marriage and relationship. So, I think that they’ll be going in different directions for a long time. I think the relationship will be really, really challenged. I hope I’m wrong, of course.”

Princess Kate has beaten the cancer and will do well, Jordan predicts.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift will marry in 2025 and although Jordan sees a baby in their future, it will not be born this year.

P. Diddy is done, Jordan says. “He’s going away. I’ll be shocked if he ever gets out – I’ll eat my cards.”

It’s easy to see how all of Jordan’s predictions are nothing more than speculation, often involving wide windows of time such as how president-elect Trump will experience some kind of incident “eight or nine months down the road, or 20 months down the road.” Prince Harry and Prince William might reunite anywhere from two to 22 years. That gives her plenty of opportunity to declare herself an accurate predictor of the future.

As for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, who doesn’t know that their relationship is serious and stands a very good chance of ending in marriage?

With the exception of those who don’t read the news, just about everyone knows that P. Diddy is in serious legal trouble.

But Jordan’s not the only psychic making headlines. The late Baba Vanga, known as the “Nostradamus of the Balkans” predicted that 2025 would see devastating earthquakes in the West Coast of the US and war in Europe.

Vanga, who died in 1996, was born in 1911 in what is now known as North Macedonia and lost her eyesight at the age of 12 after a freak storm hit her village. She claimed that this accident allowed her to develop a different kind of vision, that of the future. She made many accurate predictions in her life, including the events of 9/11 and the death of Princess Diana.
According to the Mail, she claimed that in 2025 there would be devastating earthquakes around the world, including on the West Coast of the US and that Europe would endure a terrible war.

‘Russia will not only survive,’ she wrote. ‘It will dominate the world,’ she predicted.

She also suggested that Putin would be re-elected in 2025 – a prediction that we already know can’t come true because Russia will not hold another presidential election until 2030.

“Perhaps most intriguingly, Baba claimed that humanity will make contact with extraterrestrial life during a major sporting event,” the Mail reports.

Vanga, who has made predictions up to the year 5079 when she believes the world will end, has made plenty of predictions that never came true, such as that an American president would suffer deafness and mortal illness in 2021. Nor did Europe endure the predicted chemical attack from Muslim extremists the same year.

But even when predictions prove right, this doesn’t mean the psychic has special power. It simply means that they are open to receiving demonic suggestions. Although demons are not permitted to know our futures, they are excellent observers who have been watching mankind since Adam and Eve. These observations are then passed on to psychics.

As Father Mike Driscoll describes in his book, Demons, Deliverance and Discernment, “One might think of them as extremely accurate weathermen. They don’t know the future, but they can make very good predictions.”

For example, demons could very well have tipped off a psychic to the attacks of 9/11 because they had been observing the people planning these attacks.

Relying upon their preternatural abilities that gives them tremendous intellectual power, demons would also know about the earth’s movements preceding an earthquake, or that the conditions in a volcano were ripe for eruption.

Even in the case of Jordan predicting that Princess Kate had beaten her cancer means she could have been the recipient of information gleaned from a demon who is familiar with the Princess’ diagnosis.

This is why, for all of the above reasons, the Church wisely advises us to steer clear of any psychic or medium who claims to have insight into the future. “All forms of divination are to be rejected,” the Catechism tell us, because they “all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings…They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone” (No. 2116).
