The rich and famous in Hollywood have invented their own version of a Girls Night Out which includes manifestation ceremonies, smudging, and tapping into their “third eye.”
According to Hello Magazine, the occasion was the birthday of Kerry Washington, the Emmy award winning actress and star of the hit ABC series Scandal. Meghan Markle was also in attendance, as was Washington’s friend and fellow actress, Jessica Alba.
Alba posted a tribute to Washington entitled “Happy Born Day to my girl @kerrywashington.”
“There’s nothing like that fill your cup type of girls night,” Alba wrote in her tribute. “Under the energy of the #NewMoon in Aquarius, we came together for a beautiful ceremony led by Jill, founder of @spiritdaughter. New moons are a time for fresh starts, setting intentions, and calling in new possibilities—and this night was just that. We connected, manifested, released what no longer serves us, and tapped into our power and highest vibration.”
The manifestation ceremony was led by Jill Wintersteen, founder of Spirit Daughter which is described as a lifestyle brand that helps women to “live your best life through understanding the energy of the Universe.” Wintersteen relies mostly on astrology for these rituals.
In a video of the birthday party, the women are seen sitting around a table containing candles and other objects such as crystals which have been “charged” outdoors with alleged lunar energy. They arrange these crystals in a circle while “setting fresh intentions” and “releasing what no longer serves us.” Participants visualize their intentions with the belief that the more they focus on their intentions, the more likely they will be realized. The ceremony also included smudging, and tapping into their “third eye”.
Alba presented the birthday girl with a birthday cake that consisted of donuts stacked on a plate with a few lit tapers stuck in the top.
We can only hope these strange gatherings will never replace the tried-and-true girls night out that brings women together to share a little wine, lots of friendship, and good old-fashioned girl talk!
