For militants
August 5
“True, a certain form of devotion to Mary is for children. But there is another,
at least every bit as real, which is for adults, and in particular for militants.”
-Emil Neubert, SM, STD
Today’s Reflection:
In what, do you think this “adult,” “militant” devotion to Mary consists? Are you open to its discovery? Or does this thought intimidate you? Why?

Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church
All suffer together
In her heart
January 23
“[She] kept all these things in her heart.”
-Luke 2:51
Today’s Reflection:
Prayer is the answer. Prayer is what the Blessed Virgin Mary did when she faced the contradictions of her life as Mother of the Messiah. It was in her heart that Our Lady found the grace and consolation she needed. In our barren times, how do we need to pray more, not less?
Dearest Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!
Daily Gracelines ADVENTure Day 22
Reflection: “Mother of mercy and of hope obtain for the men and women of the third millennium the precious gift of peace; peace in hearts and families, in communities and among peoples; peace above all for those Nations where people fight and die every day.
Obtain that every human being of every race and culture may encounter and accept Jesus, who came down to earth in the mystery of Christmas to give ‘His’ peace to us.
O Mary, Queen of Peace, give us Christ, the world’s true Peace!”
– St. John Paul II
Challenge: Where do you need more peace in your life? Ask the Child Jesus to grant you the precious gift of His peace this Christmas.
