Vatican: 100,000 Christians Killed Every Year for the Faith

In an address to the United Nation’s Human Rights Council in Geneva this week, Archbishop Silvano Tomasi expressed deep concern over the continuing discrimination and systematic attacks upon Christians occurring worldwide which have resulted in the death of more than 100,000 followers of Christ per year.

Vatican Official Sets the Record Straight on Abuse Scandal

In answer to criticism about the Church’s handling of the sex abuse scandal, the Vatican’s UN Observer, Archbishop Silvano Tomasi, said the scandal involves homosexuality much more than pedophilia and that similar abuse is going on in other denominations at a much higher rate than in the Catholic Church.
