Nationwide Cell Phone Alert System Launched

Citizens will soon be able to receive critical alerts about terrorist threats on their cell phones as a new national alert system called “Personal Localized Alerting Network” (PLAN) officially kicked off yesterday in New York City and Washington DC.
FEMA Apologizes Over T-Shirt Flap

A top official for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has apologized to the Salvation Army after one of its videographers asked volunteers to change their t-shirts for on-camera interviews because they sported the logo of a faith-based organization.
