A new document issued by the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace (PCJP) which calls for the establishment of a global authority or World Bank to render economic justice is being misinterpreted by liberal Catholics as well as the mainstream media who say it puts the Church in allegiance with the Occupy Wall Street movement.

New technology that allow parents to choose the genetic characteristics of their babies threatens to breed new forms of racism, the Vatican said during a United Nations conference on racism which was held recently in Geneva.
