The public school system in the U.S. continues to receive low grades from the public with most people referring private schools by a wide margin.
A report published jointly by the Department of Education and the Department of Justice revealed that 1,183,700 violent crimes were committed at U.S. public schools during the 2009-2010 school year.

California Governor Arnold Schwarznegger recently declared May 22 “Harvey Milk Day” in public schools to honor a homosexual activist and reported sexual predator who was murdered in 1978. The pronouncement has inspired a pro-family group to launch a state-wide boycott asking parents to keep their children home from school rather than allow them to be subjected to homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination.

A high school in upstate New York has agreed to delay the implementation of yoga classes after a group of parents and religious leaders complained the program indoctrinates children in Hindu rites and is a violation of the separation of church and state.

The nation’s largest teachers union, the National Education Association (NEA), adopted dozens of alarming resolutions at its convention this month, including demands to impose education about sexual orientation on preschoolers and to provide children with birth control via in-school clinics without parental consent.
