We have been taught

September 7
“…We have been taught, the food which has been made into the Eucharist by the Eucharist prayer set down by him…is both the flesh and the blood of that incarnated Jesus.”
-St. Justin Martyr
Today’s Reflection:
St. Justin Martyr is affirming to us that Jesus Christ himself taught us that the Eucharist is his flesh and blood. Our faith in this teaching is a gift. Spend time in gratitude for the gift of the Eucharist and the fact that you embrace this teaching. If you do not believe, ask Our Lord to unveil this gift to you.

Carved out of His heart

June 27
“We the Christians are the true Israel which springs from Christ, for we are carved out of His heart as from a rock”
-St. Justin Martyr
Today’s Reflection
Isn’t it inspiring to know that even back in the time of St. Justin Martyr (c. 100 – 165) Christians were already acknowledging the Sacred Heart of Jesus?

Becoming a Martyr

June 1

June 1

Feast of St. Justin Martyr

“Though beheaded, and crucified, and thrown to wild beasts, in chains and fire, and all other tortures, we do not give up our confession; but the more such things happen, the more others, in larger numbers, become believers.

 For Reflection:

Martyrdom comes in many forms. In what way may God be asking me to be a “martyr” today?
