In 2009, Susan Powell, a young Salt Lake City mother of two disappeared from her home, never to be seen or heard from again. When her husband, Josh, came under suspicion for the disappearance and possible murder of his wife, he moved to Washington state. With the children sent off to live with Susan’s parents during the subsequent investigation, the family home was left empty.
