Event Speakers

  • Johnnette Benkovic Williams

Johnnette Benkovic Williams is Founder and President of Women of Grace®, a Catholic apostolate for women featuring a number of outreaches including conferences, media, study groups and more.

After years of being a non-practicing Catholic, Johnnette experienced a deep conversion back to her Catholic faith in 1981. Her conversion sparked a new vocation: sharing the Gospel message through the utilization of media. She has been an inspiring and consistent presence on EWTN Catholic radio and EWTN Catholic television for over 30 years.
  • Father Ken Geraci, CPM

Fr. Ken Geraci, CPM, lived the life of the prodigal son for most of his young adult life. Raised in a nominally Catholic family, who only lived the externals of the faith, Fr. Ken left the Catholic Church for many years. During that time he earned a business degree and worked as a business profession in Advanced R&D and software testing; a few years into his career he joined a few of his co-workers in establishing a $4.5 million Internet software company. Focused on money, fitness, and success, he made little room for God; but God did not give up on him. During this journey, God presented him with challenges that forced him to question his personal beliefs and the question “What is Truth?” Through a series of conversions, years of struggle, study and questioning, Fr. Ken found his way from agnosticism, to non-denominational Christianity, and ultimately back to the Catholic Church.

Fr. Ken joined the Fathers of Mercy in 2006 and was ordained in 2012. For two years, he served as an associate pastor of a medium sized parish and currently serves as a Missionary, webmaster and vocation director for the Fathers of Mercy. Fr. Ken has a great understanding of the personal and societal pressures that individuals face and knows what it is like to “hate coming to church.” His mission talks are for people of all levels of faith; from those who are madly in love with Jesus to those who struggle with church and religion.

  • Kris McGregor

Kris McGregor is the Founder and Executive Director of Discerning Hearts®, an innovator in producing podcasts, radio broadcasts, and written content that adhere to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and its profound spiritual tradition. Kris's programs are featured on the Spirit Catholic Radio and Iowa Catholic Radio Networks and in international markets, including England, Australia, and New Zealand. She is a frequent contributor on EWTN Radio and Relevant Radio and has co-hosted the "Kresta in the Afternoon" radio show with her husband, Bruce McGregor.

Kris offers insightful commentary on the lives of St. Catherine of Siena, St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, and St. Francis de Sales in the Eternal Word Television Network's series "The Doctors of the Church." She has authored articles for the National Catholic Register and Angelus magazine, a publication of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Additionally, Kris has penned numerous forewords for books on the spiritual life, most recently for "Women Mystics" by Fr. Louis Bouyer, published by Ignatius Press.

She has led numerous spiritual retreats with Fr. Timothy Gallagher and Dr. Anthony Lilles. In the past, she has served as Director of Religious Education and Director of Liturgy in several large parishes in her Archdiocese.  Kris's educational background includes studies at the Pontifical Atheneum of Sant'Anselmo all'Aventino in Rome and Creighton University. Alongside her husband, Bruce, to whom she has been married for over 40 years, Kris is an Oblate of St. Benedict. They have three children.

  • Living Praise Worship Team

The women of the Living Praise Worship Team come from all walks of life – married, single, divorced, annulled, remarried, professionals, stay at home moms, and home-schoolers. We raise children, grandchildren, horses, dogs, gardens and flowers. We lead and serve in other music groups in our churches, Catholic and Protestant, traditional and charismatic. What has brought us together is a desire to serve the body of Christ with the gifts of worship the Lord has given us. We strive not to perform but share a gift of passionate worship, bringing those we minister to into the Lord’s presence. “Living Praise” is a Music Ministry Worship Team founded on the call to worship the Lord through song and praise. We strive to bring an inspiring spirit of worship wherever we sing, inviting all to become “living praise” for the Lord with us. Though some of our members have sung and worshipped together for nearly 25 years, the group’s formal ministry began in 2000 providing worship for women’s conferences at Franciscan University of Steubenville. Since then, Living Praise has ministered to over 20,000 at churches, revivals, retreats and other Christian conferences and events. We have provided worship music for numerous Diocesan Women’s Events including the Dioceses of Steubenville, Pittsburgh, Greensburg, Youngstown, Altoona, and the Archdiocese of Detroit. One of the regular groups we serve is “Magnificat: A Ministry to Catholic Women”. We provide worship music for the quarterly Magnificat prayer breakfasts for the chapter located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (www.magnificatpittsburgh.org). We also minister with music and worship at the biannual International Magnificat Women’s Conference in New Orleans, LA. To order worship music: www.livingpraiseworship.com.
