There is no proof that psychic powers exist yet people still continue to believe in group riddled with con-artists. Sue shares that you are closer with your deceased love ones when you are at adoration or Mass than with a psychic. The Catechism warns us to avoid all contact with psychics and mediums because resorting to these services conceals “a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone” (No. 2116).
