A 'Catholic' school is teaching the  kids to use centering prayer and empty their minds while repenting a mantra. Sue explains how this is common to eastern forms of meditation that strive to blank the mind. Christian prayer is a dialogue with God; eastern meditation is a concentration exercise. The two are not synonymous.

Caller Carol wants to know what 'grounding' is and if it is a new age practice.
