As we inch our way through this Advent season and approach the great feast of the birth of Christ, Christmas Day and the season that accompanies it, we do well to consider the Blessed Virgin Mary and who she is in our life. The last time we were together, we talked about the sacred mysteries and truths that flow forth from her title of Mother of God. But what significance does that title hold for you and for me? As the Mother of Jesus Christ, is she the mother of us as well? What is the substance of her spiritual maternity and how can we open ourselves to experience it?
